RIGA — On the eve of the New Year, December 29, a landmark event for Latvia’s entrepreneurial community took place at the Rīga Islande Hotel conference hall — the final round table of the HOTULANUS Business Club. Opinion leaders, business owners, and experts gathered to conclude a successful 2025 and ratify the development strategy for 2026.
From International Recognition to National Growth
Opening the meeting, Club Chairman Alexander Emelyanov noted a qualitative leap in the community's development. Over the past period, HOTULANUS co-organized several key international forums: from meetings with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine to strategic B2B conferences between the USA, Latvia, and Kazakhstan.
"HOTULANUS Business Club is, above all, an environment of trust. This year, we didn’t just exchange contacts; we built a foundation that is valued higher than any material assets in business. We have learned to find unconventional solutions where others saw dead ends," Alexander Emelyanov emphasized in his speech.
Resolution 2026: Production, Logistics, Tourism
The central event of the evening was the discussion "Economic Development 2026." Club members agreed that overcoming Latvia’s national crisis requires not only political decisions but also a proactive stance from entrepreneurs themselves.
Following the discussion, a Resolution was formed focusing on three strategic vectors:
Production: Initiating the construction of new facilities to create national products with high added value.
Logistics: Positioning Latvia as an efficient and indispensable global transit hub.
Tourism: A large-scale project to develop children's camp infrastructure, capable of attracting tourists from both warm climates (e.g., Spain) and Scandinavia, utilizing Latvia’s unique climate.
Synergy of Sports and Business
The event was held as part of the "For a Sporting Society" movement congress. Vitaly Dubov, Honorary President of the movement, emphasized that successful business is only possible within a healthy civil society. The Minister of Welfare, Reinis Uzulnieks, addressed the participants via video message, noting the importance of civic engagement among entrepreneurs.
Business cases and development visions were presented by active club members: Alexander Pyatrov (AP Holding), Andrey Kruglov (T&S Group), Vitaly Khokhla (SB Transport), Victoria Dubova (Wiener Kaffee Baltic), Lyudmila Kotane (Lingua Sphere), and Tamara Mikhailova (MegaLight Group).
Charged for Success
The official part transitioned into an informal atmosphere featuring a bowling tournament and a festive cake-cutting ceremony. The evening was more than just a summary of results; it served as a powerful impulse for every participant.
Alexander Emelyanov addressed the entrepreneurs with a New Year’s message:
"I wish you a perfect balance in 2026: between cold strategic calculation and hot entrepreneurial intuition. May every project you undertake within our club bring not only profit but also a deep sense of satisfaction from creation. We are entering a year of new speeds — let’s reach the summits together!"
