Meeting of the HOTULANUS Entrepreneurs' Club at the Blackhead Brotherhood House

On the eve of Christmas, members of the HOTULANUS Entrepreneurs' Club gathered in the historical building of Riga's House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads. This place was not chosen by chance: the House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads is a symbol of entrepreneurial activity and influence on the development of the city, which allowed to draw parallels between modern and medieval entrepreneurs.

The Brotherhood of Blackheads, founded in the 14th century, united young, unmarried merchants and traders of Riga. They played a key role in the economic life of the city, organising trade, organising fairs and protecting the city. Their activities contributed to Riga's prosperity as an important trading centre of the Hanseatic League. Today's HOTULANUS entrepreneurs, like their predecessors, are committed to business development, supporting each other and contributing to society.

The meeting discussed the club's achievements over the past year, as well as plans for the future. An important item on the agenda was support for philanthropic projects and sports organisations, reflecting the club members' commitment not only to personal success, but also to improving the local community.

Club members drew parallels between their activities and the legacy of the Brotherhood of Blackheads. Medieval merchants, united by a common goal, created conditions for the prosperity of the city and its inhabitants. They not only developed trade, but also actively participated in the cultural and social life of Riga, supporting various events and organisations.

The modern entrepreneurs of the HOTULANUS Club, following the example of their predecessors, do not limit themselves to business interests. They strive to create a favourable business environment, support young entrepreneurs and develop social initiatives. Thus, the traditions of the brotherhood of Chernogolovs find their continuation in HOTULANUS activities.

The Blackheads' fraternity house has become a symbol of continuity of entrepreneurial values and striving for progress. On this festive evening, HOTULANUS club members not only summarised the results of the year, but also drew inspiration from history, confirming that true entrepreneurship is always linked to caring for the future of their city and society.
